Flower Care Advice

he fresher your flowers are when they arrive at our Studio the more beautiful they will be as a finished piece. It is important that we receive the flowers a day or two after the event so we may give them immediate attention. It is not necessary to choose your design at this time. Enjoy your honeymoon and upon your return we will schedule a phone consultation to go over your personal design choices.

Appoint someone to care for your flowers during the event and follow through with getting them to us. Whether that may be we pick them up, they are brought to a designated store or you ship them to us. We are happy to chat with your appointed person prior to the event to assure flower care, arrange for getting the flowers to our studio and to reserve your space in the freeze dryer. At any point during your event that you can put your flowers in a vase with some water it is helpful. Once the event is over a hand-tie bouquet with stems showing may have the stems cut ½" and put in water for better drinking. If your handtie has ribbon covering the entire stem you may remove the pins and ribbon to cut the stems and put them in water until shipping or pick up. Be sure to include the ribbon, pins and any jewels for us to use in your final keepsake. Bouquets made in oasis foam handles can take a little watering directly to the foam.

Refrigeration is helpful also. DO NOT FREEZE. You may use a ziplock bag for small items such as the boutonnière or corsages. If you have extra flowers from centerpieces that match your bouquet it is helpful to send them along for replacement possibilities also. If you would like a memento, such as an invitation, photo, tribute or other such item included in your framing send those along also. Most importantly do not hesitate to call with any care questions.
